ABMS Conference 2018 Call for Posters

The Call for Posters submission deadline has been extended to Saturday, June 30, 2018 at midnight ET. All authors will be notified of acceptance via email on or before July 20, 2018. 

ABMS Call for Poster Submission Guidelines

1. Presenting author(s) of accepted poster abstracts must register at the current registration rate to ABMS Conference 2018 (early bird registration closes on July 31, 2018). Submission of a poster abstract does not automatically confirm your registration for the ABMS Conference 2018. Early-bird registration is now open.
2. Poster submissions may be of original research, evidence-based practices or encore (repeat) presentations of previously presented research from one or more of the following subject areas:
  • Assessment and Evaluation Methodologies
  • Board Certification Operations
  • Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
  • Health Policy and Research
  • Initial and Continuing Certification Programs
  • Marketing and Communications
  • Organizational Development and Leadership
  • Patients as Partners
  • Physician Well-being Initiatives
  • Professionalism
  • Quality and Practice Improvement
  • Portfolio Program
3. Poster submissions will range between 800 -1,000 words (titles, author names, affiliations, and disclosure information are not included in word counts). 
  • Title
  • Authors
  • Background
  • Objectives
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Conclusion/Discussion
4. Author names will be listed in the order in which they will appear in printed text. One author per poster must attend ABMS Conference 2018. 
5. Author professional affiliations will be published on all posters.
6. Disclosure information will be published on all posters.
7. There is no limit to the number of abstracts one author may submit for consideration.
8. The first author (submitter) will be responsible for communicating all ABMS poster presentation guidelines to additional authors/presenters. 

ABMS Poster Presentation Guidelines

1. Maximum poster size is 42" high x 90" wide.
2. All ABMS Poster Presenters are required to complete an ABMS disclosure form and publish disclosure information on the poster. 
3. All ABMS Poster Presenters will bring their posters to ABMS Conference 2018. The ABMS Conference staff will not receive posters mailed to the site. 
4. Detailed set-up instructions and final poster session logistics will be included in acceptance communications. 
5. While first authors typically present to conference attendees, ABMS will allow other published authors to present. 
6. Recording by any means (audiotaping, videotaping) of any presentation/session is prohibited except by an ABMS authorized agent or by first author(s) who wish to record their own presentation. 
7. Presenters may use an iPad or tablet to facilitate their presentation, but it cannot be used in lieu of a printed poster.
